Sheetal Agrawal, the founder and Principal Interior Designer at The Canvas Project, was tasked with a complete makeover of a 1,250-square-foot space for a young couple. They gave her full creative freedom to design the interiors according to their preferences. The main goal was to transform the space with clean lines and functional elements while ensuring the design was aesthetically pleasing and organized. Additionally, the space needed to be playful and engaging for their GenZ child.

As you enter the home, the foyer greets you and serves as a bridge between the living area and the kitchen. This area sets the overall tone for the house with its stylish design. The foyer features a striking black console that contrasts beautifully with the subtle wall color, creating a bold first impression. An ocean blue crockery unit adds a splash of drama to the color scheme, complemented by a tan-colored sofa that introduces warmth and sophistication.

Adjacent to the dining area and living room is the kitchen, designed with a clean and cohesive look. The backsplash and countertop are in matching colors to maintain a seamless appearance. The kitchen features a subtle beige laminate paired with crisp olive green shutters on the cabinets, contributing to the overall harmony of the space.

The child’s bedroom is designed to feel spacious and open, with ample storage and a cozy window seat. Given the child’s playful nature, we chose an energizing blue-and-white color scheme that adds vibrancy and excitement to the room. This color combination enhances the room’s lively atmosphere while providing a fun and inviting environment for the child.
