This compact house, measuring 1,100 square feet, is situated in the bustling area of Baner, Pune. It is a cozy home for a young couple and their extended family. From our very first visit, we were struck by the natural light that filled the space and the open layout that gave it a sense of spaciousness. We immediately envisioned how we could transform this house into a beautiful and functional home. The only challenge we faced was the below-average floor-to-ceiling height, which required some creative design solutions.

In designing the interior, we chose a neutral color palette to create a calm and inviting atmosphere. We used a PU finish to achieve a smooth, polished look throughout the space. To add warmth and an organic feel, we incorporated earthy colors through the use of veneer in the furniture. This combination of neutral tones and natural materials gave the house a harmonious and balanced aesthetic.

One of the standout features we designed was the crockery unit, where we used a cane texture to introduce a raw, natural vibe to the space. This texture not only added visual interest but also connected the interior design to a more rustic and traditional feel. The cane texture served as a focal point, enhancing the overall aesthetic of the home while maintaining its modern appeal.

By carefully selecting materials and colors, we were able to create a home that feels both contemporary and timeless. The neutral palette and earthy elements work together to create a serene environment, while the clever use of textures adds depth and character. Despite the challenge of the low ceiling height, the design solutions we implemented made the space feel open and airy, ensuring that the home is both beautiful and practical for the family living there.
